ROUGES QUEUES SELECTION

Starting from a single hectare, today they manage 5 in seven different Appellatiòn Bourgogne Controllèe, including the most important Crus of Maranges.

Located in the southernmost part of the legendary Cotes D’Or, in the Maranges area, one of the most recent appellations of origin in Burgundy.
Jean Yves and Isabelle Vantey arrived here in 1998, they now manage five hectares of vineyards and seven different appellations, including the most important crus of Maranges. Clearly an area of maximum choice for Pinot Noir, which occupies 80% of the production, and the remainder for Chardonnay. From the beginning the vineyards are not treated with pesticides or herbicides, the soil is worked during the winter, the selection of the grapes is very careful during the summer. The winemaking takes place in a traditional way, only in the basic Bourgogne is a part of carbonic maceration

carried out, to give more freshness to a simple and direct wine. Spontaneous fermentations, few rackings, aging in never new barriques (steel in the base), no clarification or filtration, only a little sulfur before bottling. Pinot Noir of great elegance and finesse, with good structure and softness, which wait to express themselves fully, which must be grasped as they are tasted, those of the most important crus, from the Haute Cotes de Beaune to the Maranges Premier Cru, where the vine and the terroir express themselves in unison, accompanied by the season of that vintage and by the culture of man who expertly accompanied them to maturation.
