ELIOS
WINE
The courage and desire to do things of two young and enterprising boys are the mind and arms of Elios. We are in Alcamo, Nicola is a computer engineer looking for new stimuli and Guido is a winemaker who is not satisfied with his work. From the meeting of these two old friends, in 2014, Elios the best of Sicily was born. The idea is very clear: to make a sincere and environmentally friendly wine. Thus, in 2015 the project came to fruition. Nicola and Guido exploit digital knowledge to promote the company through social channels. Theirs is a bet that immediately gives great results.
SICILIAN
SPIRIT
ELIOS SELECTION
Both dissatisfied with our jobs, both tired of working for other people’s dreams. Both in love with natural wines.
Elios is a young Sicilian company located in the splendid countryside between Alcamo and Camporeale born from the agricultural vocation of two friends, Guido Grillo and Nicola Adamo, driven by the inspiring figures of their parents, in love with the land and who for years have been interested in sustainable cultivation methods and cutting edge. The agricultural choice came in 2015, when the two friends decided to take over the reins of the family businesses that produced olives and grapes, transforming the products – oil, honey and wine – on site to be able to resell them directly, thus closing the production chain . The Elios winery carefully processes its grapes making use of the expertise of the oenologist Guido Grillo, who supports procedures without invasive interventions and synthetic chemical substances: the idea of producing wine comes from the profound respect one has for nature and its taste it must not be
homologated to man but rather modulated based on his land of origin. Starting from this principle, the two friends combined their knowledge to extend this production philosophy to the production of extra virgin olive oil and honey, dividing the tasks between these two agricultural sectors. And so among the Elios vineyards, scattered across the countryside on the border between the provinces of Palermo and Trapani, there are only native varieties such as Grillo, Nero D’Avola, Catarratto and Zibibbo declined in different guises that represent tradition and innovation at the same time. The “Modus Bibendi” line faithfully embodies the traits of an often forgotten territory in terms of typicality, and through its three shades (white, red and orange), it tells all the potential that artisanal and sustainable agriculture can express in this splendid Sicilian land, suitable for quality viticulture for centuries.
